Finance Administrator
Job description
- To provide essential financial and administrative support to ensure the smooth and accurate operation of the organisation’s finance processes
- The role ensures financial information is accurate, up to date and compliant with organisational policies and procedures
- Experience working in a finance department along with methodical and accurate skills
Key responsibilities, skills & experience
- Posting of supplier invoices onto the accounting system (Sage / Continuum)
- Preparing and making supplier payments
- Processing of credit cards
- Support with the processing of expenses
- Posting of bank transactions
- Allocating Custom receipts
- Credit control
- Completing and submitting VAT returns
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet codes
- Ensuring records are scanned and filed accurately
- Support with management account preparation, accruals / prepayments
- Ad hoc finance projects
- Responding to internal and external finance queries
- Supporting effective financial control and enabling the wider finance team to operate efficiently
