Financial Management Accountant - FTC
Job description
- Provide monthly Financial Management Information to the companies within the Engineered segment, with specific focus on Precision Casting Limited, in a timely manner.
- Budgeting, forecasting, financial performance analysis, cost control, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
- Prepare Year End Audit files for the Auditors
Key responsibilities, skills & experience
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs.
- Analyse financial performance and investigate variances against budget and forecast.
- Produce profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare periodic forecasts and financial projections.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with operational and departmental managers.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform margin, profitability, and variance analysis.
- Support inventory, project, and departmental cost reviews.
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
- Support external and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements where required.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements in finance processes and reporting.
- Support finance system developments and automation initiatives.
- Drive standardisation and best practices across the finance function.
Key Skills and experience
- Experience in management accounting and monthly reporting.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Manufacturing finance experience.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience implementing ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Part-qualified, finalist, or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

- Reports to: Financial Controller
- Key Interactions: Engineered Companies Senior management team, Operational employees, customers, suppliers, GVG staff, Payroll.
- Key Relationships: Finance Controller, Senior Management teams, Finance team.
