In 2024 the Goonvean Group embarked on a new mission – to support a charity of the year. We select and support our chosen charities for a set period of two years, raising funds and awareness for the work they do.
Choosing our Charities
We asked each Group company to suggest a charity that they would like us to support. From this we created a shortlist for our directors to choose from, ensuring the selected causes match our Group’s ethos and dynamics.
For this reason our charity partners for 2023-2025 were chosen as:
1. Children’s Hospice South West
2. The Rotherham Hospice
Children’s Hospice South West
CHSW provide hospice care for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their whole family. Hospice breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 wonderful children’s hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall. The charity do all they can to make the most of short and precious lives across the South West.
The Rotherham Hospice
The Rotherham Hospice is the only adult hospice in Rotherham and cares for members of the local community, aiming to enhance their patients’ quality of life by delivering first class care where and when it is needed.
How we support them
Working with our charity partners, we have held several events and challenges for our staff to get involved in. Just some of the 2024 events have included The National 3 Peaks Challenge, Intragroup Softball Tournament, Skydives, Bake-offs and Fancy Dress Down Days.
