North Devon Electronics
North Devon Electronics boasts many years of practical experience within the coil winding and electronics industry historically operating out of Braunton, Devon. The company are now expanding into purpose built facilities at the Group’s Engineering Centre of Excellence in Cullompton, Devon.
The growth and customer reach by the business has been significant to date. To help support the company to continue on its growth trajectory it became evident that further operating space was required along with an investment in new technology.
Solution
The management proposed to move to the Group’s Engineering Excellence Centre based at Cullompton and invest in its moulding capabilities.
This would leave the skills and capabilities of ‘winding components’ as established at the Braunton site, whilst providing an enhanced facility for moulding and product quality inspection at Cullompton. Final product shipment would happen at Cullompton, as it is ideally positioned close to the M5 motorway corridor. The Goonvean Group Board supported and approved this proposal.
Outcome
The implementation of the project has provided immediate new and valuable space, improved capabilities and a refocus for the company to expand its customer base at a time of high demand.
