Precision Casting Ltd
Operating from their newly redesigned and technologically advanced site in Totnes, Devon, Precision Casting Ltd (formerly known as Foundry & Fabrications Totnes Ltd) is the largest aluminium foundry in the South West with over 50 years of experience in making high-quality aluminium castings.
Both the infrastructure and the equipment had become aged and somewhat outdated. Based on the trust in the skills and capability of the site management team and the opportunity of expanding the scope of services from the visibility of new demand, a major capital ‘rebuild’ was warranted.
Solution
The site management team presented a proposed complete demolition and rebuild of the site infrastructure.
At the same time the investment in world class technology which would support a significant increase in capacity and quality of the end product. The Goonvean Group Board approved the proposed investment.
Outcome
The project has commenced and is well on track to be completed early 2025.
